DESCRIPTION

Community-based theater organization Komedya ng Don Galo presents Senadala at Persyanus: Ang Bagong Mukha ng Moro-Moro,” an orihinal (script) penned by Jess Nazarene DC Macatuggal. The traditional Philippine theater production portrays the clash of religion, leadership and power between two mythical kingdoms of Senadala and Persyanus and how it is healed by love and peace. Lead actors Czarina Mendiola, Shaira Ortiz, Klyne Yaba, MJ Calderon, Loi Macatuggal, Paul Alfonso and KC Ortiz will take us to the new face of Moro Moro in the Philippines, which is no longer about crown and kingdom but about justice and genuine freedom. They will be joined by true blooded komedyantes MJ Calderon, Queenielyn Jimenez, Winzel De Leon, Louie Galilo,  Daniel Balanlay, Tommy Nofies, Charles Romero and students from Don Galo Elementary School.

Senadala At Persyanus is the second original script of Komedya ng Don Galo after the success of Argos at Almohar written by Charles L. Ortiz. It was first presented to the public as an excerpt during the CCP Pasinaya 2018 and was developed to become a full-scale komedya orihinal. Senadala at Persyanus is under the direction of Jess Macatuggal, with choreography by Charles Ortiz and Emmanuel Bartolome.
